Something went wrong with our Sienna minivan, the engine started running rough, might die while sitting idling. Tuffy's found power to the fuel injectors, but decided to pull the fuse on it to check and found a half-blown fuse. replaced it and tested it a while and everything is back in business, running great. That was an amazing catch, impressive.

I called Tuffy sometime in 03/2017 to get an estimate on roughly how much new shocks would be for front and back of my 1995 Grand Marquee. Ray kindly took down my phone number and said he would get the estimate together and call me back ASAP. 15 mins later he called me with a Quote which by the way was way more reasonable then other places I called. I made an appointment to take car in on 3/31/17. My husband and I dropped it off together and Brandon pulled it in garage to lift and see if it was shocks that I really did need. He came in and got my husband and I to take us out to look at what he found which wasn't the shocks at all. It was very bad tie rods and broken stabilizer links, which can both be very dangerous. The shocks appeared to be fine. Like Brandon stated the shocks aren't a safety issue but these two things were and Hubby and I totally agreed. Brandon gave us a reasonable quote and we left the car there over night to be worked on next morning. 8am the next morning I received a call from Brandon stating he came in to a puddle of water under the car. Which I had noticed a little liquid under car periodically, however since it was sporadic and it wasn't oily I didn't pay much attention to it, however it needed to be fixed asap before it totally went out and created further damage. He had the quote ready with that included and again was very reasonable compared to what my husband paid to have his fixed elsewhere. One more thing I wanted to add is Brandon found a few more issues along the way like a bad fan clutch and repaired all off them with no extra charge and threw in a Free oil change and tire rotation as well! They are very thorough when they are getting to the root of the problem and are not pushy at all! They are very Friendly, Honest, Kind and prices are very reasonable. Brandon and his wife Kim keep the place very neat and clean, the bathroom is immaculate! Which proves another point of detail. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tuffy of Yorkville for all your automotive needs! I took my vehicle here for a routine oil change, Brandon discovered a trans & oil leak, he told me to call the dealer as it may be covered under warranty. On 7-27-16 I had scheduled with Brandon of Tuffy’s of Yorkville IL. to have my 2012 Hyundai Elantra Touring car have the accessories belts replaced at 57,442 miles. I did some searching online a few days before and was wondering if my car had rubberized timing belts or a timing chain. There seems to be confusion around this topic, I saw both answers given online. I even called Hyundai USA & they were not sure! This was important because if they were indeed rubberized belts, then it would warrant a timing belt replacement along with the two accessories belts. Brandon took the time on his PC to try & look this info up, but one of his data base servers was down. He then suggested we go to my car & actually remove the timing belt cover to inspect the belt, to verify that it was a rubberized belt, which under severe driving conditions (the Midwest) should be replaced at 60,000. The timing belt looked great but I suggested we do the timing belt change along with the accessories belts to follow the Hyundai manuals. Brandon is not a pushy person; he lets the customer make his/her decisions. Why am I telling this story? Most other shops would NOT do what Brandon did; take the time & effort to show a customer what condition a part is on their car. This is a unique thing that Brandon has done before to help me out. This shop also has another great guy to help you out, his name is Michael. He is very knowledgeable like Brandon & operates on the same honesty principles as Brandon.

This summer I had an emergency repair and called Tuffy with a car that wasn't going to last much longer ... it was overheating badly. Brandon said they could fit me in right away to see what was happening. He told me what needed to be done; sat on hold forever with my car warranty company to see what was covered; gave me their loaner van because the work couldn't be done until the following day. I had never been to his shop before; he didn't know me. I cannot say enough nice things about Brandon & Jeff. They are truly professional and care about the customers. Today I went for a brake repair and dropped my car off at 9:15 am. At 10:00 am Jeff called with what needed to be done and by 11:00 am it was completed! The last places I went to either took all day "because I was dropping it off and not waiting" or "couldn't get the parts for another 2 days". I will ONLY take our cars for repairs to Tuffy in Yorkville. 5 Star service!

On August 1, 2013 I brought my car (1999 Hyundai Elantra, 92,306 miles) in to Tuffy Auto Service Center of Yorkville IL. I knew what service had to be performed because I had a previous evaluation by another repair shop. I needed to replace the exhaust flex-pipe. The owner/operator Brandon Kribbs raised the car up and allowed myself and my son to look under the vehicle (a lot of places don't allow this important opportunity). He told me the least expensive way to fix the flex-pipe was to cut the bad one out and weld a replacement (previous shop wanted to replace the whole assembly). He also showed us the wear on the tires due to the original shocks being totally worn out. He gave me an estimate and clearly laid out all the costs. I agreed to all the repairs. The car was completed way earlier than expected and what I really appreciated is Brandon raised the car up again and showed me all the work performed, he even insisted on showing us the removed components he replaced! I am a skeptical person when it comes to car repairs ( I have had shops not even do the work they charged me) so I was glad he was wiling to do that. I give Brandon Kribbs and the Tuffy Auto Service Center of Yorkville a five star rating!

After moving to Yorkville in 2006 we were on the lookout for a mechanic. Tuffy opened not long after we moved in and we've been taking our cars there ever since. Brandon understands what's covered under manufacturer's warranties and will point out issues for you to bring to the dealer vs. just fixing them and charging you for them. I trust him implicitly. They also have a CLEAN BATHROOM, which is attention to detail, and I know nothing about cars, so the clean john is appreciated for more than just a clean john.

Brandon and Tom of Yorkville went out of the way to help rectify the situation with my Mom’s car- ’97 Toyota Camry. Two days after Christmas, my Mom was traveling from WI to visit us in Plano, drove off the road at some point during her journey, and called me because she thought she lost a muffler. Since we were so close to Tuffy, I suggested she take the car there. Tom examined it the next day and discovered not only was there exhaust repairs needed, he also found out that the front engine mount was disconnected and the engine pushed over. My Mom later revealed that she had driven off the road, went through a field and drove to Yorkville. She is close to 80, suffers from night blindness and gets disoriented very easily; we (her children) decided it was best that she not drive. Both Brandon and Tom understood and allowed us to keep her car there free of charge, approximately 3 weeks, until we decided what to do. She later authorized the repairs to be done, mind you only $113 worth. Once she can get the appropriate paperwork together she probably will be selling the car. With this kind of commitment, integrity, and customer service, we will continue to bring our cars to Tuffy of Yorkville for service. (2012)

I have been bringing my car to the Yorkville, IL Tuffy for a couple years. I have always received great service. Whenever the mechanics check my car, they never make me feel pressured to fix something right away and communicate the honest necessity of repairs. Today we took my Liberty in for shocks/struts, tune-up, and radiator hoses. They completed the work in a timely manner and also gave me a teacher discount. On Saturday March 3, 2012, my son asked me were he should take his Honda for an oil change and I recommended Tuffy in Yorkville 456 Vetrans Prkwy. When he came home, I notice it was dripping oil so I put it up on the ramps and saw the aluminum oil pan was cracked from tighting the drain plug too tight. I called Tuffy back and they said they were only open until 4:00 and it was 3:15 so we took it back. They did find that the oil pan was cracked and that they would replace the pan. Brandon, the store's manager, said he had to pick up the pan from Honda and it would be ready around 6:00. At 6;15 The car was repaired. I just wanted to let you know that I am very pleased with the great customer service and the store standing behind its product. It is refreshing to know there are companies and people like Brandon that stand behind there product and do whatever it takes to make it right with the customer. Tom and Brandon had quoted me work to be completed at a cost of $350 and after inspecting the car, they had communicated that the repair wasn’t necessary.
